On November 23rd, I had the honor of photographing Michele and Chris’ wedding at the beautiful William Penn Inn. This day was filled with love, laughter, and moments that I'll always cherish—especially because of the unique bond I share with this incredible couple.
I first met Michele and Chris during their engagement session last year in the charming town of Jim Thorpe. It was there that I discovered their love for photography, particularly astrophotography. We spent much of that session swapping stories about our favorite shots and techniques. Our shared passion for capturing the night sky added a personal touch to our connection, and it continued to deepen throughout their wedding journey.
The William Penn Inn, with its rich history and timeless elegance, provided the perfect backdrop for Michele and Chris’ special day. The atmosphere was electric, thanks in part to the energy of a fantastic seven-piece band that kept the dance floor alive all night. But the real heart of the celebration was the undeniable love between Michele and Chris. Their joy radiated through every glance and every touch, reminding all of us why we were there.
One of the highlights of the evening was the night photography session. Knowing their passion for the stars, I wanted to create something magical under the night sky. The crisp November air, combined with the historic charm of the Inn, set the perfect stage for some breathtaking shots. Capturing the couple against the twinkling stars and christmas lights adorning the massive trees that surround the William Penn Inn.
Michele and Chris went above and beyond to make me feel like more than just their photographer. They treated me like a guest, inviting me to sit with their family and share in the joy of the day. I’ll never forget the fun banter I had with the wedding party and the lively conversations at my table. It’s rare to find such warmth and kindness, and it’s something I’ll always treasure.
One of the most special moments came after the wedding when I lent Michele and Chris one of my wide-angle landscape lenses for their honeymoon. They used it to capture incredible photos of the Northern Lights—a dream for any photographer. Seeing those images and knowing I played a small part in helping them capture such beauty is deeply rewarding.
Congratulations, Michele and Chris. It was an honor to be your wedding photographer.
